Podravska banka, one of the oldest and one of the most innovative financial institutions in Croatia, in a joint venture with the Asseco SEE company, installed the first ATM in Croatia which, along with the standard functionalities, offers the possibility of paying the bills by scanning and decoding 2D barcodes printed on money orders. The ATM is part of the Branch Office of the Future project, which considerably transforms the bank’s approach in dealing with the clients.
The unique ATM of Podravska banka available in Croatia (Zagreb, Cvjetni trg) which, besides its usual functionalities such as the statement of accounts, cash payout, cash withdrawals with the option of repaying the overdrafts in installments, GSM recharge voucher purchase, etc., offers the possibility of paying the bills by scanning and decoding 2D barcodes and the possibility of making cash payments that are visible on the account immediately upon completion of the transaction.
On the same location, next to the ATM, Podravska banka installed an Info terminal as well, where the clients can also pay their bills by scanning 2D barcodes, check their transactions and print out their monthly transaction account statements; together with an ATS device, which automatizes the payment and withdrawal management procedure usually carried out by bank tellers, thus replacing the traditional manual work. The software provider for both devices is Asseco SEE.
