Asseco SEE at Volksbank Romania

Asseco SEE redefines concepts of availability and flexibility at Volksbank Romania with VPLEX solution from EMC

Big companies’ continuous struggle in the past  few years has been focusing mainly on the efficient management of data storage costs in relation to an always increasing volume of data, as well as on identifying the best storage solutions, making decisions on engaging or not into virtualization, assuring continuous availability of applications and last, but not least, on a permanent activity monitoring.

Asseco SEE’s solution, designed especially for Volksbank Romania, Driving Competitive Advantage VPLEX for Vmware availability in Volksbank, based on the EMC technology, responded to the customer’s requirements in terms of the assets’ utilization, migration from Production Site to DR Site, reutilization of existing assets, providing an architecture that guarantees future developments and reduction of downtime and operational risk. 

"As a result of the implementation of this project in partnership with Asseco SEE Volksbank Romania redesigned its future, having now the advantage of efficiently used operational and storage resources as well as an easy migration from the production site to the recovery center in case of disaster in less than 5 minutes. The existing operational and storage resources are reused, the unplanned maintenance windows downtime and the operational risk are reduced. The implemented architecture guarantees further evolution and leads to a cost reduction between 10 and 30 percent, compared to a traditional recovery solution in case of disaster", stated Bogdan Pipernea, Director of IT & Communications Division from Volksbank România.

With this project Asseco SSE responds to nowadays companies’ needs providing an efficient way of assuring applications ‘availability for them whenever it is needed as well as managing equipment costs that are necessary in case of an increased volume of data, providing changes in the IT infrastructure when moving towards virtualization, continuous adding, configuring and managing of the storage requirements and monitoring the entire activity, understanding clients’ environment and possible challenges, transforming them into proactive companies rather than reactive.
