Award winning Asseco SEE Romania presents at Microsoft Summit 2014

On November 12-13, Asseco SEE participated in the second edition of Microsoft Summit in Romania, the most important event of the year, dedicated to IT professionals, software developers, entrepreneurs and managers who want to streamline the company's activity they run.

Asseco’s Microsoft team, Daniela Scarlat, Alexandru Rogojina and Leonard Heroiu, held the presentation The cloud for modern business. Microsoft Azure & StorSimple. Scenarios & Demo at the Summit. The same demo was available at Asseco’s booth, for all participants in the Summit. Beside them, Mihai Babescu held the presentation Microsoft SharePoint & Kofax - An effective way to optimize document related processes.

The 2014 Microsoft Summit conclusion is that IT products and services have now reached to be as important for companies as electricity, water and heating according to Don Grantham, President of Microsoft for Central and Eastern Europe. "In the last decade the IT industry helped the ongoing activity, specific to each company and now helps to grow a business, becoming a fundamental component of any company. IT is now a utility and therefore must provide security to be available at any time to take account of local requirements and to be flexible", said Grantham at the Summit. He added that companies migrated to cloud available solutions, eliminating the cost of their own servers, platforms and licenses.

Microsoft Summit this year was the biggest event of technology and business, at which more than 40 international experts analyzed the most important trends and digital solutions that impact the productivity growth in Romanian organizations, with an audience of about 1500 people.

In the Microsoft fiscal year 2014, Asseco SEE has won three major awards in Romania: 

• "Best Performance in Software Asset Management Revenue" for projects implemented in software resources management and control;   
• "Best Performance in Medium Size Enterprise" as a result of the higher turnover recorded with the medium-large companies;   
• "Best Performance in new Enterprise Agreements" for most new contracts open type Enterprise Agreement.
