Asseco South Eastern Europe Listed as a Representative Vendor in Gartner’s Market Guide for Open Unified Digital Banking Platforms
[Warsaw, Poland], [June 27th 2016] – Asseco South Eastern Europe (Asseco SEE), a leading provider of banking solutions, today announced that it has been identified as a Representative Vendor in the Gartner "Market Guide for Open Unified Digital Banking Platforms” report.
According to Gartner, Open unified digital banking platforms are an “emerging technology, even though some of the solutions on the market, including some from niche banking system vendors, have been available for several years. Among the key reasons for identifying these platforms as an emerging technology are the following: (1) customer requirements for more accessible and more user-friendly banking services; (2) bank demands for new solutions that do more than simply integrate existing channels; (3) an influx of new, often nontraditional providers with highly innovative solutions; and (4) the development or upgrading of solutions offered by legacy banking system vendors (see "Multichannel Strategy Is the Critical Foundation for Survival in the Digital Business World").”
Asseco SEE’s digital banking platform is called Digital Edge ( digitaledge.asseco.com ). It is an open unified digital banking platform that provides a personalized banking experience for bank’s clients – whether they are banking from their smartphones, in their local branch or at the ATM. It ensures that customer data flows seamlessly across both self-service and assisted touch points, so you can offer a consistent digital experience. It provides powerful tools for online customer onboarding and product sales. This will help you stand out from your competitors, build customer loyalty and reduce churn.
Consistent and connected customer experience across different channels with siloed applications that do not share their capabilities and connectivity is an uphill battle. Digital Edge is connecting present and future touchpoint applications to a hub that offers shared digital banking capabilities, orchestrate processes across channels and takes care of connectivity to backend systems instantly making touchpoints consistent and more agile for future demands. The hub provides all integration points as a set of REST based API’s (standardized according to BIAN), which will be able to support all PSD2 requirements and API based banking initiatives.
“Asseco SEE has a deep understanding of banking sector and its digital transformation with more than 15 years of experience of implementing digital banking and core banking solutions for the leading financial institutions across Southeastern Europe”, said Piotr Jelenski, CEO of Asseco SEE group. "We believe being named by Gartner as a representative vendor reinforces our solutions' value to our customers."
