UniCredit's Cristina Abrigo keynote at ASEE Alert cybersecurity conference

Following European Cybersecurity Month, ASEE organized the cybersecurity conference "Alert" in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia. The conference brought together international experts in the field of cybersecurity, who shared best practices and experiences. Cristina Abrigo, Head of CE&EE Digital Security at UniCredit, delivered the keynote address for the conference and gave a presentation titled "Cyber Threats Landscape - Unicredit Experience." Abrigo emphasized three main strategic frameworks and focus areas: Fostering Cyber Security Culture, Enabling Secure Business Transformation, and Continuously Securing Digital Foundation. She also stressed the importance of risk mapping and defining cluster areas of intervention.

Claus Sengler IT Risk Advisor at the European Central Bank, talked about Cyber Security in Banking Supervision of the SSM.  Milan Parat (PBZ), Davor Kodrnja (MBCom Technologies), Saša Ilić (Hrvatski Telekom), and Sašo Mickov (ASEE) participated in the panel on cybersecurity trends. The future of digital identity was discussed by Relja Marković (Addiko bank), Ante Sladojević (Microblink), and Robert Preskar (ASEE). Presentations dealing with topics of mobile security, quantum cryptography, passwordless authentication, and data loss protection were delivered by Mario Marić (ASEE), Dubravko Hlede (MBCom Technologies), Luka Babić (ASEE), Marija Tomić (i4p Informatics), Alen Beganović (Ethernaut), Andrea Jelavić Šako and Domagoj Ciković (ASEE).

Cybersecurity is the main challenge that modern businesses are currently facing. Millions of dollars are lost by businesses as a result of ransomware, phishing, illegal impersonation, and identity theft. It was noted that such data emphasizes the value of education and business investments in security, as well as the expanding field of cyber experts, who are currently in higher demand than traditional developers.

"I am extremely pleased that this year we once again managed to gather companies and individuals who are successfully tackling threats in the cyber environment daily. The focus of our company is the development of systems that guarantee security to the financial sector and e-commerce, but also other industry verticals. By organizing this conference, we wanted to share our knowledge and experiences and invite other experts in this domain to demonstrate positive practices", said Viktor Olujić, a member of the ASEE Croatia management board, and added: "A big thank you to our partners, speakers and participants who brought added value and help us to see a clearer view of the future, and the challenges ahead.”

The “Alert” was organized by ASEE, one of the largest IT companies in Europe in the production and implementation of own software solutions. ASEE Group employs over 3,000 people worldwide and operates in 23 countries. With this conference, ASEE hoped to focus more on educating businesses and individuals about the importance of security in a cyber environment.
