European Bank for Reconstruction and Development invest EUR 22 million in Asseco SEE
European Bank for Reconstruction and Development confirmed their decision to invest EUR 22 million in Asseco South Eastern Europe.
European Bank for Reconstruction and Development confirmed their decision to invest EUR 22 million in Asseco South Eastern Europe. The Bank shall acquire newly issued shares for the amount of EUR 15 million. Whereas, the remaining EUR 7 million will be provided to the company as a 6-year credit facility.
Concurrently, the company successfully placed a share issuance dedicated to qualified investors who acquired new shares for almost PLN 30 million (approx. EUR 6.5 million) on June 30. All the funds raised from EBRD and from the private placement to qualified investors will be utilized for further consolidation of the company’s operations in South Eastern Europe (Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Romania, Serbia and Slovenia) as well as for new acquisitions in that region, including Turkey.
In the nearest future Asseco SEE intends to take over 4 IT companies which generated a cumulative net profit of EUR 4.3 million.
EBOR shall become one of the major shareholders in Asseco SEE. Apart from Asseco Poland and the Bank, the company’s ownership structure also includes investors who bought shares in the IPO.
