Expanding Payment Portfolio with Card Transaction Processing

Thanks to this transaction ASEE is now able to offer its customers throughout the region more diversified and complete payment solutions.

Part of Asseco SEE’s long-term strategy is to consolidate the payment services market both by acquisitions and by introducing new products and solutions to our portfolio. Because of that in March we purchased company Chip Card which has enriched our payment solution portfolio with a card processing offer. Thanks to this transaction ASEE is now able to offer its customers throughout the region more diversified and complete payment solutions. Now we will work on consolidating our offering and promotion of new solutions to the clients continuing our efforts aimed at strengthening ASEE payment business.

In the second quarter of this year we extended our co-operation with Wincor Nixdorf to Romania which has become the tenth market where we partner with them. We do expect positive developments in this area even in 2016. The second quarter has been the quarter of more recognition and awards for our expertise and work. Asseco SEE in Macedonia has become the first service provider within the whole Asseco Group and one of the forerunners in the region to be proclaimed by Cisco ready for providing “Infrastructure as a Service” from within own Data Center facilities. We have also broken new ground in e-Commerce business by completing an integration process with Troy, Turkey’s national payment card launched by the Interbank Card Center. ASEE was also awarded for its payment gateway infrastructure solution NestPay® by Türk Ekonomi Bank, one of the major banks in Turkey. Moreover we were recognised for our exemplary cooperation with CEC Bank in Romania within the project of implementing the state-of-the-art mobile-banking solution.

In April we published Q1 financial results according to which ASEE recorded sales revenue growth by EUR 3.8 million, that is by 16% compared with the same period of the last year, reaching EUR 27.5 million. The biggest increase in terms of value was generated by the Payment business unit, where the growth was achieved mainly by the physical payments part with the biggest increases coming from Croatia, Serbia and Slovenia. The Systems Integration business unit ended the first quarter with sales revenue up 28%, compared with the same period of 2015. The increases were recorded mainly in Serbia. Whereas sales revenue in the Banking business unit was at a similar level as after the first three months of 2015. Overall it was a good quarter for ASEE for what I would like to thank everyone.
