Asseco SEE at Infotech 2013
How to speed up IT development in Serbia
Implementation of electronic government would lead to a cheaper and more efficient government administration, greater transparency, and the state would be enabled to become a service for its citizens and companies – was said at the round table session at Infotech conference, by Vladan Atanasijević, member of MB of Asseco SEE in Serbia.
“E-Gov is a concept which has already been accepted in many countries, while in some other countries in terms of E-Gov there hasn't been any considerable improvement. Serbia requires faster development of information society, as it contributes to solution of some basic problems, such as efficiency, affordability, competitiveness, development of new products and services and retention of high quality personnel. All this can be achieved with introduction of electronic government concept“, Vladan Atanasijević, member of MB of Asseco SEE Serbia, said and added “We expect that Government, which is to introduce some measures required to prevent crisis and to rationalize the expenses, shall not see the development of IT as an additional cost but as a leverage helping in conduction of required reformation and savings. We are ready to help them in their effort by enabling it to become more efficient, transparent and cheaper by implementation of IT solutions and E-Government projects using the concept of Electronic Government.“
Information and communication technologies, along with certain adequate and efficient measures of government, companies, various institutions and other relevant stakeholders, are able and should become a basis for economic growth and business innovation. IT technologies can contribute to development of economy and business along with well developed projects and improvement of broadband infrastructure, electronic business and electronic administration.
The Infotech 2013 conference and exhibition is organized by Association for computing, informatics, telecommunications and management of Serbia, backed by the adequate ministries of the Government of Republic of Serbia and Serbian Chamber of Commerce, together with most important foreign and local companies, ICT users, IEEE and PMI groups.
