Banking and e-Commerce Expansion Providing Optimistic Outlook for the Future

Message from Piotr

We are continuing strong support for our clients in their digitalization process including, among others,  moving complex banking product sales to online channels. In the most recent project Unicredit Bank Hungary decided to implement a fully digital Current Account Opening and Client Onboarding process for the new bank clients, and ASEE with Digital Origination product was recognized as the main partner for this vital initiative. Live – our omnichannel communication and customer relationship management solution for contact centers - got their first banking reference in Bosnia & Herzegovina.

Overall dynamic increase in sales revenues in the Banking business unit in Q1 2021, resulting mainly from the growth in sales revenues of omnichannel and core banking solutions, contributed to high profitability of the Group in the first months of the year.

Recent quarter was also marked by a complex merger on the Serbian market of Vojvođanska and OTP banka. ASEE played an important role completing this banking integration. Payten Group’s processing specialist company Chip Card also contributed to this merger by completing the migration of all OTP bank services to Chip Card’s processor along with merging both banks’ portfolios into one processing system.

In Payten on the other hand POS related services business line and e-Commerce business line had the biggest sales revenues in Q1 2021. Additionally in February we acquired Vebspot, owner of e-Commerce platform, thus following our strategy of expanding product portfolio within payments business unit especially in e-Commerce domain. Chip Card started 2021 strong with taking over full card issuing and ATM acquiring processing for MF Banka in BiH, winning the first processing client on the market .

In the product development area TriDES2 upgraded to EMV3DS v2.2  standard which additionally improved transaction security and user experience and Chip Card was awarded electronic money issuing license by Serbian National Bank, enabling one of the strategic growth streams for the company in the local market and ASEE InACT Anti-Fraud Solution with Paratika Payment Systems has received the 3rd place at the IDC Financial Services.

Important thing to note is acceleration of our investments in product portfolio to provide SaaS offering.
