EMC and Asseco SEE organized an event specially dedicated to promoting EMC Isilon solutions

New innovative solutions to reduce the cost and effort of managing corporate data environments have been presented, revealing a new dimension to the concept of mobility within institutions data using EMC technologies.

Isilon has designed and developed its cluster-type storage systems mostly to meet the needs for storage, access and administration of digital content and other non-structured data.

An Isilon cluster storage system is made up of three or more nodes. Each node is a standalone device, consists of industry standard hardware, including disk drives, processors, memory chips and network interfaces, and is integrated with the software (operating systems) called OneFS (based on FreeBSD), which unites a group of nodes in one shared resource.

EMC Isilon delivers high performance for processing applications and file-based workflows in large quantities. It is suitable for applications with a very high rate of I/O operations or even large archive and retention requirements on a long time, all under a single file system with outstanding features.

Isilon Systems is an EMC`s division, with HQ in Seattle. Its solutions have been implemented in many areas: industry, media, healthcare, telecom, public administration, research, oil and gas, etc.

Recently, Asseco SEE Romania was awarded as “EMC 2012 Partner of the Year. FAST STARTER”.
