More optimism towards the end of the year

The investments seem to start bringing results and therefore changing the trend for better in the last quarter of this year, which makes me look with optimism at the year-end.

A message from Piotr Jeleński

Despite stable sales revenue growth, at the level of 7 percent after the first 3 quarters of this year, the planned investment costs in the production and sales forces influenced the overall ASEE results, which were worse compared with the same period of the last year. These investments seem to start bringing results and therefore changing the trend for better in the last quarter of this year, which makes me look with optimism at the year-end. It is worth mentioning that the last months of 2016 were interesting to us in terms of new business deals and industry recognition for our solutions. We signed, among others, the agreement with Delhaize Serbia, part of Ahold Delhaize, world leading food retailer, within the card transaction processing area thanks to our increased competences in the payment sector after acquiring the ChipCard card processing company earlier this year. I expect more contracts on card processing to come in the next year.

We also supported our clients in their digital transformation. We published the findings of the digital transformation survey undertaken by ASEE among Southeastern banks which gave valuable insights to us and to the bankers themselves into the banks’ digital transformation strategies and challenges. Moreover in partnership with Euronovate we implemented the first paperless branch project in Serbia, intended for UniCredit bank. Thanks to this, all handwritten signatures will be replaced with digital signatures. Our mobile banking application for CIB Bank’s retail customers, developed within the DigiCal project of Intesa Sanpaolo Group, won first prize in the MasterCard Europe Bank Competition in Hungary which is a high recognition for ASEE taking into account that altogether 28 banks submitted 79 solutions that competed in several categories.

As the year-end is approaching I would like to take this opportunity to thank our clients, partners and employees for the good 2016 year and to wish You a Happy and Successful 2017!
