Zagrebačka banka launched a new service

Financial planner - the first comprehensive e-service for Personal Finance Management in Croatia.

Financial planner - the first comprehensive e-service for Personal Finance Management in Croatia

Zagrebačka banka introduced Financial planner – an online service that enables analysis of finances and a more efficient money management.

Financial planner, which is accessed via e-zaba – the internet banking service of Zagrebačka banka, enables clients to manage personal finances on a daily basis through a personalized overview of financial flows for all accounts in the bank including current, foreign currency and giro accounts, cards, credits and savings. Financial planner offers a possibility to import transactions, liabilities and assets generated outside the bank manually.

Unlike the usual internet banking service, Financial planner provides a graphical overview of the data and categorises all transactions into different groups of costs, incomes and investments. Through the monitoring of the structure and relations between costs, incomes and investments, the service helps the clients to identify personal consumer’s habits by giving an insight into funds at their disposal – where the money is spent, how much is saved and how both spending and savings influence long-term structure of assets and liabilities.

Financial planner enables the users to define short-term or long-term goals and, through the allocation of funds into savings, follow their achievements. Also, the users can define limits for particular categories of costs and control their own spending. Financial planner was presented by Daniela Roguljić Novak, a Member of the Management Board of Zagrebačka banka, Andreja Vidović, the Head of Direct Channels in Zagrebačka banka and Dražen Pehar, a Member of the Management Board of Asseco South Eastern Europe.

“As a leading bank in Croatia, Zagrebačka banka is committed to creating new value for its clients. We want to be their advisor and a partner in all specific situations” said Ms. Roguljić Novak at the presentation of the service and added: “Financial planner is the first comprehensive service for Personal Finance Management in Croatia and in the whole UniCredit Group. Personal Finance Management is one of the top trends in the world. We believe that our clients will use the service too, not only because they expect our support in managing their money, but because internet banking as a service is very popular among Croatian citizens. More than 435 thousands of people of different ages and generations use e-zaba service, which holds 40% of Croatian internet banking market and has become a synonym for this type of service. Financial planner will help them to control more easily the flow of their money, manage their liabilities and create preconditions for possible investments in the future.”

Ms. Andreja Vidović presented functionalities and possibilities of Financial planner: “Through daily overviews and defined goals, Financial planner, as the only comprehensive service for the Management of Personal Finances on the market, can help users to satisfy their life needs as planned. The service helps them to manage their money by monitoring the ratio of total incomes and costs, which are categorized into groups to enable a better understanding of spending. After the users become familiar with their spending habits, they can manage their money in a more efficient way, among other things, by defining monthly limits for particular groups of costs what can result in some savings. Simultaneously, after defining short-term and long-term goals, the users can direct savings toward these goals what can, in combination with certain discipline in spending and incomes, lead to their achievement. Graphical overviews clearly visualize trends in money flows and financial situation, and notifications, which are now available only within the service, but are planned for other channels of communication too, help clients to pay attention to where their money goes. The optimization of spending plays a key role in achieving added values in life. Besides helping with monitoring of spending, Financial planner enables planning of future costs in order to improve the distribution of available money and fulfilment of future needs.”

“The implementation of Personal Finance Management once again proved the innovativeness of Zagrebačka banka based on the introduction of new products and services that follow technological trends and are the result of analysis, recognition and understanding of clients’ needs. We are sure that Financial planner will be well accepted by end users. Asseco SEE is proud to be a partner of Zagrebačka banka in this project. We hope that we will continue our collaboration in the future too, especially in the development of new functionalities and in making the service available through other channels too” said Dražen Pehar.

With the help of Financial Planner the users can define different short-term and long-term goals like education for children, a purchase of new car, going on a vacation or a new sofa. By defining money value of a particular goal and time frame for the accomplishment, in combination with savings that can be arranged through e-zaba and, of course, with funds allocation for savings, the users can follow graphically how they are getting closer to their goals. The Bank’s clients can apply for the Financial planner service through e-zaba or in branch offices of Zagrebačka banka. Usage of the service is free of charge in the first three months.
